Description and Content of 3D-Dig Linked Simulation

Description

In this course, you will learn how to use 3D-Dig in Linked Simulation mode to link together Excavation and Dump templates. This means that when you excavate material, it is automatically dumped. This lets you greatly speed up simulations. This course shows you how to create slideshows from images captured automatically at key stages during the linked simulation. You will also see a brief demonstration of different simulation modes & modules in 3D-Dig.

Objectives

The purpose of this course is to help you get started with using 3D-Dig functionality in Linked simulation mode. Working through the lessons of this course, you will:

  • See the difference between using 3D-Dig in Free simulation mode and in Linked simulation mode.
  • Learn how to use both excavation and dump templates simultaneously.
  • Set up capture settings to capture images at key stages of the simulation.
  • Execute progressive digging using templates in Linked simulation mode.
  • Practice digging in parallel with two simulation templates.
  • Create a slideshow, using images captured during the simulation.
